Another Country (1984)

Despite its exciting gay Marxist reputation, Another Country is actually surprisingly silly and boring. The one interesting couple are Fowler (Tristan Oliver) and Wharton (Adrian Ross Magenty). We never actually see them fuck, of course, but the boot-cleaning scene (here at 56:50) is the only part of the film with even the slightest hint of human affection about it - let alone bona fide homoeroticism.

Desterrado (The Exile) - Carrara marble, 1872 - by the Portuguese sculptor António Soares dos Reis. This extraordinary work of art is in the Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis in Porto. It is one of the finest sculptures I have seen in person, easily ranking with the works of Michelangelo and Bernini.

Officially they're there to fight. But eveyone knows that's just because they're not allowed to fuck.
